This is a backup date to Saturday, Nov. 1 in case weather is bad and / or we can't complete the gleaning on Nov. 1. Here is some important information: Please bring with you bottled water and wear closed toe shoes. If you have never been on a farm, do not fear. We will instruct you on how to harvest the crop and be there right beside you to assist. The only requirements are that you have the time, heart, and physical ability to do so. Also, do not feel obligated to stay for the duration of the gleaning. Come and go as your schedule allows. Cancellation– If your plans change, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible using the link on this page. If there is threatening weather, we will email you as soon as possible to cancel the gleaning. What to Wear– It is recommended to wear long pants and shirt. Waterproof / water resistant clothing and shoes is advised to stay dry. Always wear closed toe shoes and clothes that you do not mind getting dirty. What to Bring-- Please bring bottled water. Any daytime gleanings, it is recommended to bring and apply sunscreen and a wide brimmed hat. Chaperones – While there is no age restriction, anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Directions– Upon successful registration for the event, you will receive a confirmation e-mail which will contain the address to the farm. Restrooms-- Please be aware that most farms where gleanings take place do not have a restroom available.
