Who We Are

Society of St. Andrew is a nationwide food rescue and distribution network, connecting farms and packing houses with volunteers and hunger agencies to get the good food left behind in the food system to those in our community who need it. Our Salisbury office is the newest regional office, allowing us to serve our hungry neighbors on the Delmarva peninsula!

What We Do

We organize volunteers to glean farm fields and markets, gathering the good food that remains and distributing it directly to those in the community who lack access to fresh fruits and vegetables.  Groups and individuals can join us in the fields during harvest season. Gleanings usually last about two hours. We also need volunteer drivers to distribute food to agencies. All you need is a pickup, SUV, van, or car; a little time; and a willing heart!
