Worcester County GOLD is seeking volunteers to help distribute Thanksgiving meals to families in need. This event will be outside and rain or shine.
Worcester County GOLD is once again partnering with the Worcester County Bar Association to provide Thanksgiving meals to families and individuals in need in Worcester County. The meals include a turkey and ingredients for side dishes so recipients can make their own Thanksgiving dinner. Volunteers will be expected to help pack bags of sides and place items in recipients vehicles. Please note that whole frozen turkeys will be provided for recipients and may weigh up to 20 or 30 pounds, if you are unable to lift that weight please let us know prior to attending. The event will run from 8:30 am to 3 pm, volunteers are encouraged to stay as long as they like, the whole day is not mandatory. The event will take place in Snow Hill.
Worcester County GOLD, Inc. (Giving Other Lives Dignity) improves the quality of life of local citizens for whom traditional means of well-being support is not fully available. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Worcester County GOLD, Inc. promotes dignity by providing financial aid for families in crisis, vulnerable adults, and children in foster care.
