The 2017-2018 AmeriCorps - ShoreCorps members are hosting a river clean up and beautification project, and they need your help! Join the ShoreCorps members Saturday, June 30th near Ben's Red Swings starting at 9 a.m. 
 
Volunteers will be cleaning up the banks for the Wicomico River from Snow Hill Road to the Salisbury Zoo and planting native plants.  You may also bring and use your own watercraft.
 
Parking is available at Ben's Red Swings near the Salisbury Zoo.
 
Docents from the Salisbury Zoo will have animals from the education department out and about, with the general topic of discussion being conservation and pollution. They will be stationed around the park and avilable for your questions!
 
The AmeriCorps members will be providing: gloves, shovels, and trash bags. Volunteers are welcome and ecouraged to bring their own supplies or gear, as well, however, volunteers who bring their own are responsible for keeping track of it. Please bring your own: Hat/cap, sunscreen, bug spray, reusable water bottle, etc. Again, we encourage volunteers to bring your own vessels and life vests, if available.
