Are you interested in fundraising for United Way? Do you have good Customer Service or Hospitality skills and want an opportunity to let your talents shine?
Volunteers are needed for a large event at the Ocean City Convention Center on Saturday, January 20, 2018. This event is a dinner banquet for approximately 3,600 people.
Volunteers who are most comfortable serving meals to our guests and who have banquet service experience are encouraged to join us.
For those that feel their talents would best be utilized in the kitchen, we have opportunities for you, too!
If you choose to volunteer with us:
- Front of the house volunteers attire for this event will be black dress pants or slacks (no jeans, no leggings, no cargo pants, no sweatpants) and black non-slip shoes (no high heels, no ballet flats, etc.).
- A white tuxedo shirt and bowtie will be provided for the event and must be returned at the end of the shift. We ask that your undergarments are not visible under the tuxedo shirt, so please plan accordingly.
- Additionally, to comply with health codes, individuals with hair that is past your collar will be required to have hair tied back.
- Volunteers for the kitchen area are asked to wear non-slip shoes and may wear casual attire. But, please no loose sleeves or hanging articles of clothing.
Please RESPOND for the SHIFT TIME you are interested in as follows:
Kitchen Volunteers are needed for 1pm - 7pm shift
Front of the House Volunteers are needed for 2pm - 8pm shift
Registered volunteers will receive further information via email prior to the event.
