Fenix Youth Project is seeking a Volunteer Outreach & Engagement Assistant to help us connect youth, families, community partners, and supporters to our programs and services. This volunteer will support outreach for Unhoused Youth Services, youth events, workshops, and workforce development opportunities by helping with flyers, social media content, community tabling, partner communication, and youth recruitment.
Responsibilities
The volunteer may help with:
- Sharing flyers and program information with schools, libraries, churches, community centers, shelters, and partner organizations
- Supporting social media content planning, captions, and basic posting reminders
- Helping recruit youth for Fenix programs, events, and volunteer opportunities
- Assisting with tabling at community events
- Making follow-up calls or emails to community partners
- Helping keep outreach contact lists updated
- Supporting event promotion for youth-centered activities and fundraisers
- Collecting community feedback or interest forms
- Representing Fenix in a positive, youth-centered, and professional wa
Time commitment
2–4 hours per week
Mostly remote, with occasional in-person outreach or event support when available.
Location
Hybrid / Remote with optional in-person opportunities in Salisbury and across the Eastern Shore.
Skills needed
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable talking to community members and partners
- Organized and dependable
- Basic comfort with email, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Canva, or social media
- Respectful, nonjudgmental, and youth-centered
- Able to follow up consistently
