As a Dialogue Facilitator, you will play a key role in guiding a respectful and engaging conversation between youth and adults about the realities, perceptions, and impact of marijuana use. This is a space for open dialogue, truth, and growth, and we need skilled facilitators who can create a safe and productive discussion environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set a welcoming and inclusive tone for the discussion
- Encourage participation from all attendees, ensuring all voices are heard
- Ask thought-provoking questions and guide the conversation
- Manage time and keep the discussion on track
- De-escalate any tensions and maintain a respectful space
- Summarize key points and takeaways at the end of the session
Ideal Volunteer:
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Experienced in facilitation, mentoring, or leading discussions
- Passionate about youth empowerment and community dialogue
- Able to remain neutral and encourage diverse perspectives
- A good listener with strong communication skills
