ALICE in the Crosscurrents:  Covid and Financial Hardship on the Lower Shore

Do you work at a Lower Shore nonprofit or other community-based organization that serves financially struggling households or individuals?  Then join us to get to know ALICE!  ALICE is an acronym that stands for asset limited, income constrained, employed.  ALICE earns above the Federal Poverty Level but less than what it costs to make ends meet.

The new Maryland ALICE Report, ALICE in the Crosscurrents, provides data on these households facing financial hardship. 

This information session will include:

• An overview of Lower Shore ALICE data
• How to use the interactive data tools available at UnitedForAlice.org
• How nonprofits can use ALICE data to inform programming decisions and to demonstrate need for their organization’s services
