Medicare-eligible State of Maryland retirees will no longer receive prescription drug coverage under the Maryland State health plan, effective Jan. 1, 2019. These Medicare-eligible State of Maryland retirees have until Dec. 31, 2018, to enroll in a Medicare Part D plan for prescription drugs, at their cost, to ensure there is no gap in their coverage.
Choosing a new prescription drug plan and navigating the Medicare maze can be confusing. MAC, Inc., is ready to help. MAC will offer a how-to program for do-it-yourselfers who would like to handle their Medicare enrollment themselves online. The program will be held from10 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 13, at the Charles and Martha Fulton Senior Center in Snow Hill. Space is limited and registration is required.
