Calling all Nonprofits!
Join us on July 17th from 11 am - 1pm
to learn about ways to expand your Volunteer Program's Capacity.
Topics include:
- Presentation by Dr. Carolina Brown, Campus Director for Salisbury University's Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. Dr. Brown will explain this national experiential internship program offered by SU, along with how this opportunity for free intern support for a semester is a true win-win for your organization and the students.
- Presentation by Sara Heim, Program Coordinator for ShoreCorps/PALS. Sara will talk about their AmeriCorps program and how they have helped nonprofits of all sizes for over 20 years with critical matching and support services to enhance your agency's mission, with special focus on volunteer recruitment and management. Members are available to work with your agency for 48 weeks with little to no financial investment from your organization.
- Presentation by the Get Connected Volunteer Center team, on the essentials for a Volunteer Program plan. From the Boardroom to hands on help during events, volunteers are a critical piece of a nonprofit's workforce. We'll help guide you through having a workable plan for how volunteers fit into your overall mission and the importance of having targeted goals for how volunteers impact your work in our community.
This event is supported through the Governor's Office on Service & Volunteerism and United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore's Get Connected Volunteer Center.
