Join us downtown for a day of family fun, food trucks, and rappelling down The Ross as we go “Over The Edge” for ALICE®!
Why are we going Over the Edge for ALICE® on May 8th?
We all know ALICE®. More than 2 in 5 local households are ALICE® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). Our ALICE® neighbors work hard but still struggle to meet basic needs. ALICE® lives paycheck to paycheck, making tough choices each month between safe housing, food, childcare, medicine and other essentials. Just one emergency can cause a financial tailspin (injured and out of work? childcare closes? car breaks down?). ALICE® is in nearly every workplace, classroom, and neighborhood. UWLES and our partners work every day to help ALICE® and all neighbors access resources to help them move from barely surviving to thriving. ALICE® lives on the edge, so we’re going Over the Edge for ALICE®!
