Beauty 4rm Ashiz “Tha Movement” has a mission that utilizes poetry as the tool to offer the Berlin, Md. Community a comfortable place to own and speak their life’s journey so that diversity can truly be understood and unity embraced.

“Tha Movement” accomplishes its’ mission in several ways including: 1. a youth poetry program called The Poetic Revolution Empowering Youth Project (P.R.E.Y.) providing youth, ages 12-18 with 12- hour long sessions that initiate the discovery and embracing of self-identity and self-awareness, 2. adult empowerment workshops called Essence of Life Cyphers which guide members of the community in gaining understanding of acceptance and compassion, and lastly; weekly open-mic events used as an outlet where artists of all genres are invited to express themselves creatively.
