Volunteer: Sleep Out for Youth Hope Month

Our Volunteer Needs
We are seeking community members to help make the Sleep Out for Youth Hope a success. Volunteers are needed in the following roles:

Event Setup & Breakdown – Help prepare the space with signage, cardboard/sleeping areas, and supplies, then assist with cleanup.

Hospitality Team – Greet participants, manage check-in/registration, and distribute snacks and materials.

Safety & Overnight Monitors – Be present throughout the night to ensure participant safety, monitor the grounds, and assist with any needs.

Storytelling & Awareness Activities – lead group reflection activities.

Media & Promotion – Capture photos, share event updates on social media, and help amplify our message.

No experience is necessary — just a commitment to youth, community, and creating awareness. Training and orientation will be provided before the event.

Time Commitment

Event Setup – 2 to 3 hours (afternoon/evening before the event)
Hospitality Team (check-in, food, materials) –
3 to 4 hours (during evening program)
Safety & Overnight Monitors –
6 to 8 hours (overnight, in shifts if needed)
Storytelling & Awareness Activities –
2 to 3 hours (evening program support)
Event Breakdown –
1 to 2 hours (morning after event)

On average, volunteers can expect to commit 2–4 hours unless they choose an overnight role, which will be longer.
