Join the Front Lines of Compassion – Become a Disaster Action Team (DAT) Trainee!
Are you ready to make a real impact when your community needs it most? As a DAT Trainee with the Red Cross, you'll be part of a dedicated team that provides immediate, life-changing support to individuals and families affected by home fires and other local disasters—day or night.

What You'll Do:
Respond to local emergencies within 2 hours as part of a team
Provide direct assistance and emotional support to clients on the scene
Work alongside experienced team leads and help assess on-site needs
Stay connected through regular team meetings and training
Stay on-call during your scheduled shifts and communicate any conflicts

Delmarva Chapter Commitment:
 Be on-call for 5-10 hours a week
Complete 10 hours of self-paced training in your first month
