The Homeless Alliance for the Lower Shore (HALS) is conducting a Homeless Survey on Jan. 25 & 26 at various locations on the Lower Shore. Survey results provide critical data about those in our community facing or experiencing homelessness. This info helps direct resources and grant requests to meet local needs and bring more affordable housing to our area.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to assist with administering the brief survey to our local homeless population. All materials and pre-survey training will be provided. Volunteers are requested to provide a minimum one hour commitment, if possible, but any available time will be appreciated!
- Volunteers are needed for the following Somerset locations on Wed. Jan 25th:
- Crisfield Library (time slots available between 11 am - 5:00 pm)
- Princess Anne Library (time slots available 11 am - 5:00 pm)
- Volunteers are needed on Thu, Jan. 26 at The Seton Center (time slots available between 11 am - 4 pm)
Volunteers will NOT engage homeless individuals outside of designated locations.
Volunteer responsibilities are:
- Welcome anyone experiencing homelessness to participate in the survey
