Treat Street
This year’s 11th annual Salisbury Jaycees Treat Street safe Halloween trick-or-treating event is scheduled 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, on Salisbury's Downtown Plaza (rain location: Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Business Center, 144 E. Main St.). Volunteers are needed to help with duties as assigned that evening, including handing out candy, running games and assisting with hands-on activities. Volunteers should arrive between 5 and 5:30 p.m., checking in at the corner of W. Main and N. Division streets (or at the Chamber in the event of rain). Food will be available for volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis. Free parking is available at the downtown parking garage on Market Street (you may have to take a ticket to get in, but the gates should be open for all by the time you leave). Volunteers may (but are not required to) wear costumes; we ask that all costumes be non-scary and family-friendly. The event is free for children through age 11; we usually draw about 700 kids throughout the evening.
