Love history and working with kids? Furnace Town Historic Site is looking for School Tour Guides to lead engaging, educational experiences for visiting student groups!
What You’ll Do:
- Guide school groups through the historic site, making history fun and interactive.
- Share the story of Furnace Town’s iron-making past, daily life in the 19th century, and the importance of historic preservation.
- Lead hands-on activities at different stations, such as explaining how the furnace worked, demonstrating a washboard, or discussing early industries.
- Adapt presentations to different age groups to keep students engaged.

- Enthusiastic individuals who enjoy teaching and engaging with children.
