Description

Congratulations on your adoption of Evening High School!

Our City of Salisbury's Kindness Commission, #kindSBY, has the mission to share and spread kindness where a need arises. Our county schools' personnel are facing another challenging year. As Kindness Commissioners we recognize that our educators and school staff will need our support as a community to address the needs of our students. We have developed a plan that will help companies, businesses, and individuals boost and keep morale high throughout the coming year. The project costs are very reasonable. The bonus to our program is the acts of kindness will benefit everyone involved, from the coordinators to the receivers.

#kindSBY is presenting a program for companies, civic groups, offices, and individuals to adopt a Wicomico County Public School and provide small positive rewards for the school's personnel four times throughout the school year.  The program can:

  • provide positive morale boosts for givers and receivers
  • create a culture of kindness within the business and the school
  • provide avenues for collaboration and personal growth.

Here's how the program works:

  1. You will receive a digital copy of all the projects from Heather Brooks, our Adopt-a-School Program leader.  Her email is: johnbrooksjr@msn.com. Please put this in your contacts so it will not go to spam.  If you have any questions you may contact Heather.
  2. You will be contacted by the school’s point person for the Adopt a School Morale Boosting Program.  This will be how you will exchange contact information and communicate during the school year.
  3. Choose your first project and make a plan for development and delivery. Evening High School has a total of 19 staff members.
  4. Your first project should be chosen and delivered in October/November.
  5. Adopters will deliver three more motivational activities in January, March, and May for a total of 4 projects for the 2022-2023 school year.
  6. All preparations, finished products, and deliveries must be documented with pictures and posted on social media, by tagging kindSBY, for the company employees, the school staffs and the public to enjoy.

#kindSBY hopes you find this program to be a great morale boost for your associates as they carry out the 4 projects for the 2022-23 school year.  Thank you for participating.  This program will send ripples of kindness far and wide.  Your commitment is an investment in our community.
