Help support our community by donating non-perishable food items! Donations can be dropped off at the UWLES office during office hours.

We are currently accepting:

Evaporated or shelf-stable milk Heat-up packets (such as Uncle Ben’s, Tasty Bite, etc.) Broth or bouillon Canned vegetables (low sodium) Canned fruits or fruit cups (low sugar) Trail mix or dehydrated fruits Baby formula Baby or toddler food Canned or packed meats (chicken, tuna, salmon, ham) — pop-top lids preferred Cooking oils Instant mashed potatoes Can openers — very needed! Volunteer: Frozen Thanksgiving Meal Distribution-Volunteers Needed

Worcester County GOLD is seeking volunteers to help with our Thanksgiving Meal Distribution!

Each meal includes a frozen turkey and a bag of sides — all generously donated by the Worcester County Bar Association — for recipients to prepare their own Thanksgiving dinner.

Volunteer Tasks Include:

Unloading the trailer of food items

Packing bags of sides

Assisting recipients with carrying items to their vehicles

Please Note:

This event requires physical activity and may involve lifting items weighing 20–30 lbs.

The distribution will take place outdoors, rain or shine, at Sturgis Park Pavilion.


Worcester County GOLD (Giving Other Lives Dignity) improves the quality of life for Worcester County residents living in low-income circumstances by providing emergency financial aid and items to meet basic needs.
