A free workshop for caregivers, “The Joy of Creative Engagement,” will be presented from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, at MAC, Inc., the Area Agency on Aging. The workshop will be presented by Ilyana Kadushin, founder of Stories Love Music Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides programs for senior citizens with memory loss, and their caregivers. This workshop is intended for the caregivers of those age 65 and older, who have Alzheimer’s and dementia, in addition to elder care health professionals. Sessions will focus on how caregivers can treat their burnout and stress, as well as creative tools to apply to caregiving. Lunch will be provided. Limited respite care will be available.
