Who We Are
The Wicomico Public Library is dedicated to supporting education, building community, and enriching lives for all of the residents of Wicomico County through the Main Library, Centre and Pittsville Branches, Bookmobile, and website. Community outreach programs serve residents in home childcare sites, schools, summer recreation sites, senior centers, and special events.
The Library offers access to
- Books, music, movies, computer games, magazines and more
- Public access computers and high speed internet
- Programs and classes for all ages
- Community meeting spaces
- Job search support
- Information on local organizations and services
- Expert assistance in finding and using information.
The Library has been operating within the County since 1925. In fiscal year 2012-13, nearly 14,000 people attended Library classes and programs, there were 627,860 items borrowed from the Library, and nearly 100,000 people signed in to use Library computers.
