Who We Are
ShoreCorps, an AmeriCorps program at Salisbury University, is seeking competent and energetic individuals who want to join the national service movement by serving vulnerable populations on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. ShoreCorps has partnered with over twenty agencies over the years, and our members have served in Somerset, Wicomico, Worcester, Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Talbot, and Queen Anne’s Counties. The term of service is one year and the benefits for serving include a small living stipend and an education award, among other benefits.
What We Do
AmeriCorps members with ShoreCorps serve in a variety of positions such as providing one-on-one and group mentoring, homework assistance, parent and family support services, health education programs, a variety of community outreach activities and volunteer recruitment and management.
ShoreCorps is an AmeriCorps State Program, working under the oversight of the Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism (GOSV) in Maryland. The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) oversees AmeriCorps Programs across the country.
The 2024-2025 service year will begin no earlier than August 15th, 2024. Position start dates are flexible and positions remain open until filled. Please click on “see more needs” at the bottom of the display to see all of our open positions.
