Who We Are
Mission: To promote the general welfare of animals.
We were founded in 1969. We strive to provide a shelter where Wicomico County residents can bring stray animals and surrender unwanted animals. If these animals are healthy and able to be adopted this is our goal to provide them a second chance to get their forever home. We also operate a low-cost spay/neuter clinic to help reduce the pet population. We only intake animals from Wicomico County, however, our clinic and adoptable animals are available to everyone regardless of place of residence.
What We Do
We are an open-admission shelter which means no animal from our county that comes through our doors can be turned away. Our shelter is proud to offer low cost spay/neuter programs in effort to control the population of unwanted animals. As well as euthanasia, cremation, and a food bank for Wicomico County residents in need. We also hold vaccine clinics, and give rabies vaccines by appointment.
